We believe the Bible should never be boring, worship can be really loud, and good leaders always care. We want kids to see how God’s Word fits in to their lives, to learn to talk to him, and to build friendships that will last.
Children’s Ministry Moment
Kids may forget what someone tells them, but they never forget how someone/something made them feel.
Want to create a positive experience where kids will not forget “how it made them feel”?
One word – SERVE!
Serving others has a way of leaving an imprint of God’s love not only on the heart of the person being served, but the person serving as well.
During the month of August, we’ll have blank cards available at church so kids can write or draw pictures, showing how they served others, that can be placed in the offering.

1 Peter 4:10 “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
Mark 10:45 “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”

Highlights from VBS – Vacation Bible School
To some folks around Elk Grove, Point Pleasant is known as “the VBS church”! Each summer for one week, usually in early July, PPUMC is host to over 100 children ages three years to those who have completed sixth grade. These children come from the greater Elk Grove community, Sacramento and Point Pleasant. VBS is a spectacular all-church event throughout our beautiful campus where each day children experience Bible stories, singing, skits, arts and crafts, mission opportunities, physical activities and snacks—all while learning about Jesus. Everyone is welcome!
