Along my faith journey there have been times of inspiration and times of learning. Desires, for the things I know the Holy Spirit is asking of me—to bear fruit immediately. And yet, finding myself having to wait and be patient. During our year of Pentecost, I find myself hoping for more but hearing so strongly that the seeds are planted— I just need to be faithful for the future harvest. For me that means, each Monday morning coming to the wailing wall and praying. Listening for the Holy Spirit. Some have shared their prayers by writing on the wall- and each week I pray for each of those prayers. Some even have written thanks for those prayers that were answered. As a community of believers praying together and for others is a foundation— and I feel blessed to pray with you all. But honestly, my Monday prayer time has allowed me to grow and connect with the Holy Spirit more than anticipated. I find peace and clarity each time. It gives me courage for the rest of my day-my week. I am reminded to continue to be faithful. The blessing and favor will come when we are found faithful in our walk with Christ.
I want to continue to encourage you to find time and space to practice your listening and be faithful to follow where the Holy Spirit is directing you, leading you, asking of you, stopping you, blessing you, pushing you, challenging you— connecting with you.
