Welcome to Point Pleasant UMC, a place where no one comes by accident. You’re here in this part of the Body of Christ because God called you here and you came, or because someone invited you here and you responded.

 

We are very much a melting pot of people who have different backgrounds and experiences called to worship and serve one Lord. This is a house where the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are worshipped as the trinity. The Bible is not God, but it is God’s inspired word to his people in all times.

 

This is not a gathering place for those who have got it all figured out, but a place where you can struggle with the questions.

 

I borrow these words from John Wesley for they serve us well,

 

In essentials Unity

In nonessentials Liberty

And in all things Charity

 

May you find this to be a place where you find the love of God is alive and well. May it also be a place where you find food for your soul and a place in ministry to others.
