Beginning in September, we typically offer an adult Sunday School class. All the necessary reading materials will be available in class–no homework required! Stop by Hein Room 1 on Sundays at 10:45am (after the Contemporary service) for Bible Study and focused discussion. All adults are welcome to any Point Pleasant class on a “drop-in” basis.
The Point Pleasant UMC Chancel Choir provides music for the Traditional service throughout the year. We meet on Wednesday evenings at 7pm in the Sanctuary. Come and experience the joy of song and fellowship as we learn to sing together. Whether you have singing experience, or would like to learn to explore your own singing for the first time, we would love for you to join us!
Point Pleasant Book Club
Like to read? Each month the Point Pleasant Book Club gets together to discuss a book. Don’t have time to read? You’re still invited for fellowship and lively conversation.
November – “Animals in Translation” by Temple Grandin (using the mysteries of autism to study animal behavior)
December – “The Christmas Box” by Richard Paul Evans (heartwarming story of parental love, healing and forgiveness)
January – There will be no gathering this month, leaving plenty of time to read February’s book.
February – “Small Great Things” by Jodi Picoult (about the process used when a nurse is wrongly accused of a death)
